Diane Kennedy, MD

Experience & Research

Dr. Kennedy has been a family physician in Luverne, Minnesota, since 1993. She also provides care in the hospital, clinic and emergency department and has an active obstetrics practice.

She is a preceptor for medical students and hosts two to three students every year.

Idea of Care

I feel my role is to partner with my patients to reach long-lasting health and well-being goals. I feel prevention is key when dealing with health problems, and I ground my recommendations in evidence-based medicine. I attempt to meet the patient on their level and work with them to achieve better health. It is not always a perfect process, but I believe it is the right process. The patient is the captain of the ship and I help steer.

Personal Interests

Dr. Kennedy’s interests reflect her family’s interests. She has been active in youth athletics, 4-H and church, and she enjoys jogging and fitness classes (although “enjoy” may be an exaggeration). Dr. Kennedy treasures any time she can spend with her family, including the occasional time spent at the lake.
