Welcome to Sanford Health

We're glad you're here

Black Hills Orthopedic & Spine Center, along with Black Hills Urgent Care, Black Hills Surgical Hospital, Creekside Medical Clinic, Black Hills Plastic Surgery, and some providers from Rapid City Medical Center are all now part of Sanford Health.

This combination brings together trusted local care teams with Sanford Health’s integrated system of clinics, hospitals and specialty services across the region. Our shared goal is simple: To continue providing the care you know and trust, while expanding access to resources, technology and services that support your health.

For most patients, your providers, care teams, phone numbers and locations remain the same. For those seeing a provider previously at Rapid City Medical Center, click here to see their new locations and phone numbers. Beginning May 4, some behind-the-scenes systems, like patient records, billing and communication tools, will transition to Sanford Health.

Frequently asked questions

What is changing on May 4?

On May 4, Black Hills locations, Creekside Medical Clinic, and some providers from Rapid City Medical Center will transition to Sanford Health systems for electronic medical records (EMR), patient communications, billing and scheduling. Your care team and services will remain the same, but you’ll start seeing “Sanford Health” in messages, portals and statements.

Will my doctor or care team change?

If you see a provider and care team at a Black Hills location or Creekside Medical Center, they will remain the same.

If you see a provider at Rapid City Medical Center who now works for Sanford Health, they will be practicing at a new location. So, your provider will remain the same, but your care team may change. You can find updated location information here:
