Caring for Sick Newborns
As a Neonatologist, Dr. Moen specializes in the care of premature and critically ill newborn babies in the NICU.
She cares for infants with a range of conditions including:
- Prematurity
- Respiratory failure
- Congenital anomalies
- Pulmonary hypertension
- Hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy
- Seizures
- Congenital heart disease
- Sepsis
She also specializes in resuscitation and stabilization of infants at birth.
Dr. Moen is the NICU Medical Director and also serves as Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Services. She is the program director for the NICU Developmental Follow-Up Program which provides comprehensive care for high-risk NICU graduates.
As a Clinical Investigator through Sanford Research, she is examining outcomes for children cared for in the NICU. She is also a Neonatal Resuscitation Program Instructor.
